Groundbreaking & Site Preparation

On 5 December 2025, the project achieved its first major milestone with the groundbreaking ceremony at Sheera Gudde, under Dashavara Gram Panchayat, Channapatna, Bengaluru Rural. Local leaders, Panchayat representatives, and community members joined the People4People team as the foundation stone was laid for the village’s Water ATM.

A moment from the ceremony that marks the beginning of the Water ATM implementation journey.

This milestone marks the start of construction activities across all ten villages. The next stages include structural work, tank installation, positioning of the RO purification system, and quality testing. Updates from Sheera Gudde — including installation progress, commissioning day, first-use experiences, and community feedback — will be added as work progresses.
